Montreux in Brazil
In 1978 Claude Nobs, head and founder of the Montreux Jazz Festival, is invited to promote a jazz festival in Sao Paulo, Brazil. From September 11 through 18, twenty different acts from straight jazz to jazz rock or Brazilian will perform in the city.
Dizzy Gillespie, Benny Carter, Al Jareau, Etta James,Egberto Gismonti,Stan Getz, Chick Corea, Hermeto Pascoal,Márcio Montarroyos and John McLaughlin. Throwback to 1978. This is Sao Paulo. This is “Montreux in Brazil”
