Wikipedia : This day (August 13, 2020), died Steve Grossman an American jazz fusion and hard bop saxophonist

@ allmusic.com : He started at the top as Wayne Shorter’s replacement with Miles Davis, playing in his fusion group from late 1969 up to September 1970. Grossman was with Lonnie Liston Smith in 1971, spent a valuable period (1971-1973) as part of Elvin Jones’ group.

@last.fm : He began with alto saxophone at eight, added soprano at 15, and by age 16 could also play tenor….. Since the 1970s he’s led his own groups including the “Steve Grossman Trio.”

@Discogs : He performed & recorded with Miles Davis and Elvin Jones. His first record Some Shapes To Come was released in 1974.
