NationMaster: Cesar Concepcion, born in 1948 in Cayey, Puerto Rico, brought the music of his native land to Latin American ballroom dancing, and ballrooms all over the world. He popularised the Plena as a Latin song style.

Hep Records : When Artie Shaw received a medical discharge and Artie Shaw’s Navy Band’s leadership fell to Donahue. A few months later the reorganised band with a Donahue inspired library departed for Britain as part of the preparation for D-Day and was grandly named the U.S. Navy Band of the Liberation Forces.
