“Hate That I Love You” is a song by the Barbadian artist Rihanna, featuring American singer Ne-Yo. Ne-Yo, Stargate, and Ester Dean penned it and Stargate produced it. It was released in 2007 as the third single from Rihanna’s third studio album, “Good Girl Gone Bad.” It is a mid-tempo, R&B-influenced pop ballad about the intricacies of love and the pain of letting someone go, even when you know it’s for the best.
