1 . The La’s – There She GoesThe La’s recorded “There She Goes” in 1988. Lee Mavers, who also serves as the group’s principal guitarist, penned it. As a result of its inclusion in a number of films and TV shows, the song quickly became a hit in the United Kingdom and, later, the United States.

2 . Scritti Politti – HypnotizeThe British band Scritti Politti recorded “Hypnotize” in 1985. From their album “Cupid & Psyche 85,” this was the lead single. Green Gartside, lead singer and guitarist, also composed and produced the song.

3 . Johnny Hates Jazz – Turn Back The ClockThe English band Johnny Hates Jazz recorded “Turn Back the Clock” in 1988. From their second studio album, “Turn Back the Clock,” this was the lead single. Clark Datchler, main singer and guitarist for the band, wrote the song.

4 . Thompson Twins – Lay Your Hands On MeThis is the 1984 single “Lay Your Hands on Me” by English band Thompson Twins. From their album “Into the Gap,” this was the follow-up single. Lead singer/guitarist Tom Bailey also penned the tune.
