Produced by Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, Janet Jackson’s “Go Deep” received its share of remixes by Missy Elliott, Teddy Riley, and Timbaland. The accompanying video features a teenager fantasizing about Janet Jackson throwing a party at his house while his parents are away, a party that quickly becomes a total disaster.

Produced by Michael Münzing and Luca Anzilotti, recorded in Germany, and released in 1990, “Ooops Up” samples “I Don’t Believe You Want to Get Up and Dance (Oops!)” by The Gap Band. This track by Snap!, already famous for “The Power,” is notable for its blend of Turbo B’s rap and Penny Ford’s singing, who joined Snap! after Jackie Harris’s departure, as well as for its humorous lyrics.

3 . LaTour – People Are Still Having Sex

This provocative 1991 track, produced by William LaTour, is known for its explicit lyrics: the lyrics are a monologue observing that “people everywhere” are “still having sex” despite advice from parents, counselors, and the risk of AIDS. However, some radio stations stopped playing it after complaints about the mention of AIDS, thinking it promoted the disease (yes! you read right).
