The Atlantics : Australia’s own, Atlantics is virtually the only successful surf instrumental band, not from America. Echoing the Shadow’s Twangy Atmospheric Instrumental Sound, they were snapped up by CBS Records and became a household name with the release of their Giant Hit Bombora. Bombora shot to number one, for a record eight weeks in Australia and also charted around the world.

Dick Dale : Leo Fender kept giving Dale amps and Dale kept blowing them up! Till one night Leo and his right hand man Freddy T. went down to the Rendezvous Ballroom on the Balboa Peninsula in Balboa, California and stood in the middle of Four Thousand screaming dancing Dick Dale fans and said to Freddy, I now know what Dick Dale is trying to tell me.

The Surfaris : The vision of the Surfaris is to bring the waves, sunshine and fun of the California lifestyle to audiences through the performanceof the #1 hit song Wipe Out, Surfer Joe, Point Panic and other well known songs of the era. Bob and his band continue to write andrecord in this style of rock that has spanned over 40 years.

allbutforgottenoldies.net : Wild Weekend” was originally the theme song for the Tom Shannon radio show based in Buffalo, NY. It was reworked as an instrumental by a local band known as the Rebels (later renamed the Buffalo Rebels) and first released on Mar-Lee in 1960. “Wild Weekend” was a local hit and was featured on American Bandstand.

The Chantays : Spickard and Carman wrote Pipeline which The Chantays recorded and released in December 1962. Pipeline began to get radio play pushing it up the charts in 1963. The Chantays recorded their first full album in 1963 entitled “Pipeline” which included Pipeline, Blunderbus and El Conquistador.

The Eliminators : All five band members are longtime Orange County surfers who were brought together through common interest; surfing, the love and respect for the ocean and the desire to bring the authentic sound of the early 60’s surf bands back to the forefront of the music industry. They pride themselves on authenticity, pressing Fender guitars, blonde “Fender Showman” amps for that unmistakable sound unique to surf music.
