PanARMENIAN
The majority of compositions were written by me during the last 6 years. The album includes several Armenian songs, and a psalm (sharakan). Several compositions were created right before the recording; so, with numerous amendments and additions, the album was finalized, with much attention paid to its producing.

All About Jazz
“The Court Jester” and “Road Song” are unwavering examples of writing and improvisation with their vigorous changes and odd time signatures, but equally engaging through catching melodies and Hamasyan’s intrepid sense of imagination in one of the year’s more memorable recordings.

The Guardian
Hamasyan’s jazz sensibility and broad knowledge give him so many options that the music has a constantly capricious variety, even if the jazz soloing stays on a tight leash.
