On TV today, watch Live Aid from Philadelphia (1985)

July 13, 1985 – Pat Metheny, Carlos Santana, Teddy Pendergrass, Ashford & Simpson, Eric Clapton, Led Zeppelin, Tina Turner, Mick Jagger , etc.more than 60 artists gather at the JFK Stadium in Philadelphia to raise funds for relief of the ongoing Ethiopian famine. This is the American leg of the “Live Aid” concert coming after its London equivalent.
