South Korean artist Park Jae Sung simply known as PSY’s “Gangnam Style” music video, directed by Cho Soo-hyun, became an international sensation with its unique horse-riding dance, excessive gel use, ill-fitting suits, and other perceived fashion missteps.

3 . Lady Gaga – Perfect Illusion

Co-written and co-produced with Mark Ronson, Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker, and BloodPop, Lady Gaga’s “Perfect Illusion” features Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age on guitar. Gaga described the track as about “modern ecstasy,” evoking a strong adrenaline rush. The accompanying music video, directed by Ruth Hogben and Andrea Gelardin and set in a desert, showcases Gaga, Ronson, Parker, and BloodPop jamming with fans.

Produced by Tim Pagnotta, “Shut Up and Dance” by Walk the Moon – that is Nicholas Petricca, Kevin Ray, Sean Waugaman, and Eli Maiman – exudes an 80s retro vibe with its pop-rock and synthesizer elements. The lyrics that include the refrain, “Shut Up and Dance,” repeated 12 times, chronicle a man’s instant infatuation with a woman he dances with at a club.
