Elton John’s self-titled second album is released today, 50 years ago. It features “Your Song” regarded today as one of “The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time” (dixit Rolling Stone).
“Your Song” has been used quite a few times in commercials and most recently in the much buzzed about “John Lewis & Partners Christmas” advert in England. More Elton’s songs (“Tiny Dancer” & others) made their way into other commercials and Elton himself has appeared in several memorable cameos.
