Jazz has its own Woodstock Festival (1981)

September 19, 1981 – Jack DeJohnette, Chick Corea, Pat Metheny, Anthony Braxton, Lee Konitz, Miroslav Vitouš and many more are in Woodstock to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the Creative Music Studio, founded by Karl Berger and Ornette Coleman.

Weather Report @ Norddeutscher Rundfunk

On September 3, 1971, Weather Report plus three european horn players did a two hours radio broadcast on “Jazzworkshop” a Norddeutscher Rundfunk program. Taped in Berlin, the radio show is so far unissued (or eventually bootlegged) but during the rehearsals, two songs “Directions” and “Dr. Honoris Causa” were filmed.
