Jónsi’s soaring falsetto achieves operatic heights in “Ylur” (Warmth). The blend of strings, electronics, and rich reverb creates an ambiance where acoustic and electronic instruments are indistinguishable. Like the rest of the album ÁTTA, it features the London Contemporary Orchestra, led by Robert Ames, and brass from Brassgat í bala. The video is directed by Sophie Hunter.

2 . Cobrah – Manic

COBRAH’s “Manic” showcases her bold lyricism and unapologetic style influenced by the Stockholm fetish scene. 4 . Nxkxta – The Likes Of You

Nikita Andrianova, known as NXKXTA, releases her third single, “The Likes Of You,” accompanied by an intriguing music video. The song’s lyrics reference a Russian idiom, “the suitcase without a handle,” symbolizing something or someone becoming a burden, and humorously addresses the challenge of letting go. The video is directed by Kassandra Powell.

5 . Skynd – Robert Hansen

‘Better run, run, run – you bettеr run, run, run’
In its series of songs based on heinous crimes, emphasizing humanity’s dark side without glorifying it, the duo SKYND – comprising vocalist Skynd and producer Father – introduces a dark song inspired by serial killer Robert Hansen, known as the “Butcher Baker” who hunted his victims in the woods. The music video, directed by PR Brown, symbolically portrays Hansen’s brutality using baking imagery.

7 . ✝✝✝ [Crosses] – Invisible Hand

Crosses, the electronic-rock collaboration between Deftones’ Chino Moreno and Far’s Shaun Lopez, have announced their first album in nine years, “Goodnight, God Bless, I Love U, Delete.” The lead single, “Invisible Hand,” is accompanied by a cinematic music video co-directed by Shaun Lopez and Lorenzo Carrera.

‘This feels so bleak, I’ve been possessed’

11 . Hozier – De Selby [Part 2]

‘I only need the workin’ of my hands’
Inspired by the character from Flann O’Brien’s 1967 novel “The Third Policeman,” the music video for Hozier’s “De Selby (Part 2),” directed by Wolf James, shows Irish actor Domhnall Gleeson portraying a man trapped in a cycle of death and rebirth, culminating in the revelation that he has taken his own life and is doomed to repeat his fate.

‘I thought inspiration was all about fun’
Yungblud’s new music video, co-directed with Priya Minhas, is a nostalgic journey through Camden Town, London, featuring the singer alongside a younger version of himself, played by Colt. Inspired by “Emo Shameless” and “St Trinians on Acid,” the video captures Yungblud’s schooldays and his embrace of his unique, misfit nature.
